Kristina and Alex Engagement

Well, after quite a few rained outs and fogged outs, Kristina and Alex’s engagement session at the Spenceville Wildlife Reserve was finally scheduled for last Sunday, on a bright, sunny day.  After meeting up in Penn Valley we headed down the hill to the shoot location and, wouldn’t you know it, we ran smack into a fog bank.  Rats! .. I was looking forward to a new location to shoot, but we all took it in stride.  Back up plan, we proceeded up the hill to Grass Valley’s Northstar Mine Powerhouse, always a great location with wonderful backdrops, water, bridge, old mining equipment, … can’t go wrong.
Thanks to my daughter, Sonya, for helping me out with off camera flash and even shooting a few photos.  One of hers is posted below with photo credit to her.
Kristina works for Sammie’s Friends, a local animal welfare organization, and they both LOVE pets!  They brought their four pooches along and we got them in some of the photos, too.  What a wonderful, fun couple ….. can’t wait to photograph their Rough and Ready wedding in May!  More pets there, too!
