One Awesome Mazatlan Sunset!

Ninety percent of Mazatlan sunsets this time of year are classic, perfect, warm, colorful, photo op quality. Super for wedding photos and/or portraits on the beach. Every now and then along comes an awesome, killer, sunset. This one started off like the average perfect sunset but I could tell this one was going to be THAT sunset when I saw the bubbly, flakey, clouds stretching from near the horizon to almost overhead. These clouds are lit up in brilliant orange, covering much of the sky, right after the sun sinks below the horizon for about 10 minutes.
This series of photos covers exactly 15 minutes, shooting with a Canon 30d with Sigma 10-20mm and 5d with 70-200mm. On camera 580ex flash was used in some photos to expose the subject in the foreground, did not have time or assistant for off camera flash. There were the typical vendors along with a couple of guys on horesback and one lone fisherman, and I shot furiously composing them in scenes every way I could.
The shots posted below are my faves. Awww, wish I could have had a bride and groom with this sunset. Who wants to be my next subject in Mexico?

This photo with the vendors is a composite of 2 photos (HDR) shot handheld so not an exact overlap, but close.  One exposing for the sky, the other exposing for the vendors.
