UPDATE: As of December 2017 I have retired from wedding photography as I have recently married and my wife and I wish to spend more time traveling. Please contact me directly with specific requirements for your wedding and, if I have your date open, I will quote you a price for your photography needs. You will find my rates are an exceptional value for artistic, storytelling, wedding photography. Prices vary based upon wedding location, photography time, and services required.
In general, the photography time varies between 5 hours to 9 hours and the number of images you receive vary accordingly, usually between 500 and 1000. My pricing includes post processing (editing) of all RAW format images with professional editing software, and placing full resolution jpeg images on a DVD for you to make prints, albums, etc., as you wish. For the convenience of family and friends all your wedding images may be viewed online.
Average prices for following locations: For 2nd photographer add $700 (beneficial for large weddings but not required). Sacramento to Nevada City area: From $2300 (5 hrs. coverage) to $2675 (8 hrs. coverage) including one hour travel time each way. $125/hr for each additional hour of travel. For Reno/Tahoe Weddings $2400 to $2775 (5 to 8 hours of coverage) incl. travel For S.F. Bay Area Weddings: $2600 to $2925 (6 to 8 hours of coverage) incl. travel For Portland, Oregon weddings: $2600 to $2925 (6 to 8 hrs. of coverage) including travel For major cities in Texas: $2750 to $3075 (6 to 8 hrs. of coverage)including travel. I love photographing weddings in Mexico and Costa Rica! For Mexico destination weddings: $3850, and for Costa Rica weddings, $4250. Pricing includes all travel expenses, 3 hours of rehearsal dinner coverage, up to 8 hours of wedding coverage, and 2 hours of “trash the dress” coverage. I am in Mexico for much of Jan and Feb every year. …love to see you there!
For weddings in all other continents throughout the world my fee is $4950 including 8 hours of photography and all travel expenses!

Engagement Photos (a great way to get to know your photographer before the wedding) 1 1/2 hour session in a beautiful Nevada County location, 50+ images, edited, and placed on a disk, $655.
Trash the Dress 1 1/2 hr sessions in Nevada County, $695. Includes all edited images on a disk.
