My whirlwind trip to Texas ended on a high note, Skyler and Alex’s beautiful wedding and reception at the gorgeous Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston. I used to play with her dad, aunt, and uncle when we were kids, at family reunions in west Texas and Arkansas, back in the day. Skyler became a long lost cousin that I never had the opportunity to meet as she came along after I left Texas for California, and our paths never quite crossed. I got a chance to hang out with this beautiful gal and her cool beau, Alex, and experience their fun chemistry first hand, at their pre-wedding shoot at the University of Houston (previous post) and afterwards when they took me out for some great Mex food. They told me the wonderful stories of how they met and of Alex’s surprise proposal. I was fortunate to spend some time with their “class act” friends and visit with my cousins and amazing Aunt Dee at the rehearsal dinner. I had such a blast photographing their killer wedding and it was an honor to be a part of their celebrations. Congratulations and all the very best to Skyler and Alex!
