I love early October days in the gorgeous Sierra Nevada mountains. Not too cold, not too hot, … just right! Katie and Geoff must also as this was the time of year they chose for their beautiful destination wedding at The Lodge at Tahoe Donner, nestled among the towering pines near Truckee, CA. What a wonderful, romantic, fun day it was! Friends and family, it’s all about friends and family being there for you and with you to celebrate! Katie was referred to me by her friend Ericka whose beautiful wedding I photographed last year (Ericka and Clint wedding) in Newcastle, CA. Love those referrals!
I really clicked with Katie and Geoff and their friends, …all terrific, genuine folks, and ready for a fun time! They brought their softball playing DJ with them up from Santa Rosa, CA, Ryan & Brooke Berrett, consumate professionals that love their job, and they kept the celebrations flowing smoothly and the dance floor hopping. The delicious cupcakes were provided by Cupcravery, yum. Katie’s aunt’s were inspired to do all the arranging of the lovely flowers, … how neat!
