Sally and Kirby and I met up in historic downtown Grass Valley, CA for a photo session starting while the sun was still up and ending at night with the city lights providing dazzling, twinkling backdrops. It had been a while since I had shot a night session and I was excited about the opportunity and the challenge. The bright, colorful, neon lights of the Del Oro Theater and the people coming and going offered some unique photo ops. Sally and Kirby are a cute couple, relaxed and going with the flow. Sally brought her friendly black lab, Butternut, and we worked him in to a few shots as well. Thanks to my daughter, Myra, for assisting me with off camera flash. Had a blast! Looking foward to seeing this fun couple again soon at their Grass Valley wedding this summer!
