An amazing and talented group of dancers put on magical performances over the past 2 weekends at the Bear River High School Theater in Grass Valley, CA. The shows are a culmination of all the effort, practice, and hard work throughout the school year by Joyce Gouveia’s dance students. The show was masterfully co-directed by Joyce Gouveia and Sonya Scott, and kudos to the tech people and parent volunteers who helped it all come together. The pieces were were wonderfully and artistically choreographed individually by the some of the senior student dancers and by guest choreographers Sonya Scott, Gaia Weiss, and Hollie McGovern. It’s always a joy to photograph dancers, … to capture the movement, the lines, the details, the emotion, and the passion.
