Mary and Ryan Engagement Photo Session

The historic North Star Mine Powerhouse has all the elements for great photo backdrops and served as the location of the engagement session with Mary and Ryan.  We met up around 2:45 as the sun drops behind the tall pine trees very early here in Grass Valley, CA this time of year.  It was already getting a bit nippy but no rain in sight … and that’s a good thing as the rainy season is upon us!  Thanks to my daughter, Sonya, for helping me out with off camera flash and helping me tote gear, and for coming up with a few fun ideas for photos.  Mary and Ryan are a super nice couple and great sports to brave the cold weather for their shoot.  Very much looking forward to their wedding next May, a little warmer then, at the Timber Creek Golf Course in Roseville, CA.  Always enjoy getting to know my clients with a fun engagement shoot before the wedding, … it’s a good thing!
