Inaugural Gold Country Open Table Tennis Tournament

On Saturday I stopped by our table tennis tournament to take a few photos before proceeding on to Sacramento to photograph Yadira and Warren’s wedding (some of their photos will be posted on my blog in a couple of days). The first annual Gold Country Open Table Tennis Tournament was a huge success, after much hard work on the part of the Auburn Table Tennis Club and the Sierra Table Tennis Club (of Grass Valley/Nevada City). Tournament results and more photos to be posted soon at http://www.auburntabletennis.com/. Such a great sport! On the first day we had some of the top players in N. California in the USATT sanctioned events, and the 2nd day was a recreational tournament featuring 5 high school teams, seniors, and club players. Check out some of the photos below. Some of the main events will be broadcast by Touchdown Productions of Nevada County on local cable TV

Mike Gaynor, of Penn Valley, stretches for a forehand return.

Andrew Streng, of Marysville, shows excellent form on a heavy sidespin serve. He’s got a great coach! .. me
