Blossom Raindrops

Yesterday I pulled out a couple of Kenko extension tubes and put them on my Sigma 24-60 f2.8 lens to take a few close-ups of the rain soaked blossoms. The difficulty in getting these shots is focusing as the wind is moving the blossoms, I’m moving some as well, and the depth of field is sooo shallow. I turn off the auto focus, move in close, about an inch away, and as the subject moves in and out of focus try to time the shutter release at the precise moment, often taking several shots to get it right. Here are a few of the shots. It’s fun trying to get it right.
