American Profile Magazine – Keeper of the Keys

In June I had the very pleasurable experience working with Marti Attoun, contributing editor for American Profile Magazine, taking photos for an interesting story about 90 year old Harley Yates, of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and his immense key collection.  He is an amazing gentlemen with the largest collection of keys in the world (over 350,00 and 6 tons) and who impressed me with his phenomenal recall of dates and numbers.  The story published this week (Set 26 – Oct 2 edition) of American Profile which is a supplement to most of the newspapers in the U.S.  In case you don’t get the magazine here is a link to the story of this interesting man. The first four of the photos below were in the article.  Marti and I also worked together on a cover story of American Profile that is scheduled to be published in May of 2011.  More on that in future post.

Here Harley is sorting through and removing rings from the keys that I donated to his collection.
