A sweeter bride you will not find. Shallyn married her true love, Jason, last week and I was honored to be their photographer. My oldest daughter, Kayla, is one of her good friends and was a bridesmaid, so I had a bit of an “in” to get the job. Who would have thought that Lake Tahoe, one of the most gorgeous places on earth, would surprise everyone with a cold front blowing in from Alaska,..in August! Well, it was cold and windy but Shallyn, Jason, and the wedding party braved the weather, and with the warmth of many close friends and family, it was a beautiful and memorable event indeed. The silver lining to the blustery weather was some of the most dramatic cloud cover you could ever imagine, resulting in some amazing photos on the beach. The reception was held at the Spruce Grove Tahoe Cabins courtyard and Shallyn and friends did an outstanding job in decorating the area with lots of hanging Japanese paper lanterns and twinkly lights that make for great photos. The kareoke was wild, fun, and crazy and lasted until the wee hours.
